When George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle and Al Pacino all star in the same film, it's probably not the best strategic move to release your film at the same time, thus you end up like "Hostel: II," which premiered this weekend alongside Clooney and his cast of characters in "Ocean's 13," and got severely whipped at the box office, taking in a mere $8.7 million, compared to "Ocean's 13," which came out on top, taking in an estimated $37 million over the weekend.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," fell to number 2, taking in an estimated $21.3 million.
Falling from the second spot last week to third this week was "Knocked Up," with $20 million.
"Surf's Up," which also made a debut this weekend, came in at number 4, taking in $18 million.
"Shrek the Third" fell to number 5 with $15.7 million in estimated receipts.
Horror's "Hostel: Part II" premiered at number 6 with $8.7 million.
"Mr. Brooks" landed at number 7 with $5 million.
"Spider-Man 3" bottomed out, falling to number 8 while taking in about $4.4 million.
"Waitress" fell to the ninth spot with $1.6 million.
Surprisingly, "Disturbia" managed to hang on, rounding out the top 10 and taking in $550,000.
